THE TEAM NEWS

Adelaide Strikers

Sixers have opted for two changes in their side from the 13-men squad that defeated Perth Scorchers in the previous match. They have picked veteran spinner Steve O’Keefe and pace bowler Henry Thornton replacing Hayden Kerr and Mickey Edwards. Their bowling has done a convincing job so far in the tournament and the same is expected when they will lock horns with Sydney Thunders.

Probable XI

Brisbane Heat (Playing XI): Tom Banton, Max Bryant, Chris Lynn(c), Matt Renshaw, Sam Heazlett, Ben Cutting, Jimmy Peirson(w), Mark Steketee, Josh Lalor, Ben Laughlin, Zahir Khan

Adelaide Strikers

Sydney Thunder has made only one change from the squad that locked horns with Adelaide Strikers as they have picked Brendon Doggett, the right-arm fast bowler as a replacement for Nathan McAndrew. However, all the eyes will be on Chris Morris, who was recently bought by RCB in IPL 2020 auction at a whopping fee of 10 Cr. He would be eager to show his calibre in the upcoming game with a brilliant display of his all-round performances.

Probable XI

Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales, Callum Ferguson (c), Matthew Gilkes, Alex Ross, Daniel Sams, Chris Morris, Chris Green, Arjun Nair, Chris Tremain, Jonathan Cook.

Match Prediction- BRH vs PRS

These two teams are relatively well matched although much depends in what version of the Perth Scorchers turns up. They were awful in their opening game but bounced back nicely last time out. The Strikers’ opening game was abandoned so they will be keen to get their first win but they are not helped by Siddle’s call up to the Australian Test squad. The Scorchers therefore have the edge in bowling and with their batting producing the goods last time out, they can upset the Strikers in Adelaide.

Full Teams Squads

Adelaide Strikers Squad: Alex Carey (c & wk), Philip Salt; Jake Weatherald, Jonathan Wells, Rashid Khan, Cameron White, Matthew Short, Cameron Valente, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar, Billy Stanlake, Harry Conway, Harry Nielsen.

Sydney Thunder Squad: Callum Ferguson (c), Matthew Gilkes (wk); Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales, Alex Ross, Chris Morris, Chris Green, Daniel Sams, Arjun Nair, Chris Tremain, Jonathan Cook, Brendan Doggett, Nathan McAndrew.
