The Knicks travel to the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Lakers, who will be without the injured James.

But Fizdale is hoping to sit down with the three-time NBA Champion to ask him to give some advice to his young starlet Kevin Knox.

Fizdale was the assistant head coach at Miami Heat when James was a star of the side.

And now he wants to chat with his former ally to boost the hopes of his young gun Knox.

“I’m all right anytime I don’t have to see (James),” Fizdale joked.

“You always want to play against the best though.

“I’m wishing him to get back on the court as soon as possible.

“For now, I’m going to try to find a way to get him to talk to Kevin somehow.”

Knox, 19, was picked ninth in the 2018 draft and is tipped as one of the stars of the future.

Fizdale will go to any means necessary to help the youngster develop.

And Knox is open to the idea of picking the brains of James.

“He probably is the greatest person to ever play the game of basketball,” Knox said.

“So it would be a great opportunity to talk to him. I know Fiz knows him from Miami. They won some Championships together.

“It would be a great opportunity. I’m a young guy, he came into the league young as well. I’ll be able to get a lot of tips from him as far as me growing up and getting better as a person and as a player.

“This is one of the games I was coming into the season really looking forward to playing.

LeBron is one of the players I was really looking forward to playing this season. But unfortunately, he’s not playing, I’m pretty sure.

“He’s got a lot of years left. I’ll probably see him down the road.”
